What is your role at Avison Young?

Senior Marketing Manager, Vancouver BC.

Who has been the most influential woman in your life?

My mother. She is the strongest person I know. She was diagnosed with stage three breast cancer eight years ago. I will never forget the day when the doctor delivered the news. She sat there quietly with her head held up high and determined to rise above her odds and in the year ahead of gruesome surgeries and invasive treatments, she tackled every challenge head on with strength and positivity. You will never know that she went through this if you met her today. Her affable personality and zest for life have taught me how to reframe my perspective on adversity and change. Eight years later, she is the grandmother to my two fiercely independent girls, a characteristic I know they inherited from my mother.

What advice would you give women starting out in real estate?

Embrace every uncomfortable moment!
