What is your role at Avison Young?

Graduate Surveyor.

How did you get into commercial real estate?

I started as an Administrative Assistant and was supported in my choice to study part time to become a surveyor.

Who has been the most influential woman in your life?

My grandmother.

What advice would you give women starting out in real estate?

Don't be afraid of the sound of your own voice, use it, and own your ideas.

This year's IWD theme is Choose to Challenge. What do you choose to challenge or celebrate to help create more inclusion in your community?

I #ChooseToChallenge myself to speak up more and use my voice, and to encourage other women in my workplace and life to do so. I also want to celebrate the resilience of the women in my community who have overcome so many challenges in the past year.

What would people be surprised to learn about you?

I used to work as cabin crew.

The women's networks of their universities and their workplaces.
