What is your role at Avison Young?

Marketing Coordinator.

Who has been the most influential woman in your life?

My aunt who is one of the most multi-talented creative people I’ve ever known. When I was growing up there was a lot of negativity surrounding choosing a creative career path and she always encouraged me to do what I loved.

What advice would you give women starting out in real estate?

Speak with authority and learn to communicate effectively. Figure out what you like to do and work on becoming an expert at it.

This year's IWD theme is Choose to Challenge. What do you choose to challenge or celebrate to help create more inclusion in your community?

I choose to challenge gender stereotypes and biases. We make assumptions about others based on their gender or gender expression. Everyone benefits from creating a healthy environment where people are free to be their authentic selves.

What would people be surprised to learn about you?

That I’m second generation to the industry. Initially, that I'm both creative and analytical. I’m also classically trained in fine art and my favorite subject is portraiture.
