Scherer joins the 17 Principals honored as part of the Avison Young 2025 Principal Class. Avison Young is a Principal-led, people-first, private firm with approximately 700 Principals across the globe. These Principals are industry leaders who embody the Avison Young collaborative culture, partnership ethos, and client-first mentality.

Scherer joined Avison Young in October 2024 as an Executive Vice President.  With 38 years in the commercial real estate industry, he specializes in capital markets for office, industrial, retail and medical properties throughout Las Vegas.

“David’s exceptional work ethic is a true reflection of our culture at Avison Young. Over the years, Scherer has been committed to serving in the local community, working to drive economic growth via participation in government economic advisory committees and collaborating with economic development agencies.

Scherer is driven by a mission to serve others by giving back, because of his belief that life is creating value for others. He was a founding board member for Habitat for Humanity in Las Vegas and was a leader in building the first Habitat for Humanity homes in underserved economic areas of Las Vegas.
