Reid J. Berch joined Avison Young’s Long Island office in 2016 as a Principal specializing in Industrial and Commercial Brokerage. A veteran with over 30 years of experience in the Commercial Real Estate industry, Berch’s specialty centers on the industrial and commercial real estate needs in Queens and Long Island, with a focus around major international airports. Berch currently represents over 1.9 million square feet of warehouse, distribution, air cargo and office space at JFK International Airport for several owners including Prologis Inc., TA Realty and Terreno Realty LLC. Between June 2000 and year-to-date 2017, Berch’s team has successfully completed over 970 leases, purchases and sales in Queens, on Long Island and at JFK International.

Berch was most recently an Executive Vice President at JLL, and was consistently a top producer there as well as for Cushman & Wakefield for over 14 consecutive years. Furthermore, he has been honored with numerous awards.

Some of Berch’s notable transactions include the sale of over one million square feet to Steel Equities (formerly Northrop Grumman) in Bethpage, Long Island, along with the sale of Bloomingdales’ 640,000-square-foot facility in Long Island City, Queens, NY. Berch is an active member and supporter of the Commercial Industrial Brokers Society (CIBS) as well as the JFK Chamber of Commerce.
