Nate is an Associate Director for the Valuation and Advisory branch of Avison Young, with nearly a decade of experience in commercial real estate valuation in both Canada and the United States. His career has focused on the valuation of institutional quality real estate for pension funds and REITs, including office, mixed-use, retail, multi-residential and industrial buildings. Additionally, he has worked on special-use asset classes such as industrial outdoor storage, land, and ground leased assets. In his current role, Nate leads Atlantic Canada’s Investment Valuation business for Avison Young which services some of the Maritime’s best Investors.

Nate previously held progressively senior roles with Altus Group, a global commercial real estate advisory firm. There he managed a team that valued portfolios for clients in both Canada and the United States, consisting of a large range of asset types. Prior to this Nate was a member of the Real Estate Valuations team at the Canadian Pension Plan, one of the top 10 largest pension funds in the world. Here he was involved in the valuation of the Canadian and US portions of CPP’s $51.0 billion real estate portfolio. Nate was also employed by RioCan REIT where he worked on both internal and external valuations for the $4.0 billion Canadian real estate portfolio across all major markets throughout Canada.
