With more than 25 years of experience in marketing and communications, Amy Allen joined Avison Young in July 2014 and is responsible for creating, communicating and implementing a strategic vision for Avison Young’s Florida region, including the execution of all key marketing initiatives, research and financial analytics, and coordinating internal and external communications. In addition, she plays a key role in assigning resources and creating customized strategies and marketing initiatives that provide results and ensure clients’ interests are always the focus.
Prior to joining Avison Young, Amy was a Manager of Key Accounts with the South Florida Business Journal where she created multi-platform strategic marketing plans for businesses in the health care, technology, education, professional services, commercial real estate and entrepreneurial sectors. During this time, Amy co-founded MedUTech a community-led initiative to showcase success, innovation and growth in Health Care, Education and Technology primarily in Boca Raton and brand the area as a center of excellence in these industries.
Prior to this, Amy was the founder of a successful management and consulting company based in London, working primarily in the music industry with a diverse list of clients including Madonna, Sting, kd lang, Bjork and Warner Brothers Records, and worked in locations all over the world including London’s West End, off-Broadway in New York, The Sydney Opera House, National Stadium New Delhi and Hollywood. She holds a Master’s Degree from the City University, London, and a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors from the Queen’s University in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and is an All-Ireland champion in the Irish and Orchestral Harp.
Amy is committed to her community and involved in many economic and non-profit organizations. Most recently she served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement of South Florida (2016-18), an organization that serves 55,000 kids every year and has an annual budget of $4.5million.
