Global real estate firm Avison Young has announced two senior hires to expand its Sustainability & Decarbonisation team, supporting the launch of its Decarb service line.
Rob Redfern has been appointed as Associate Director of Green Energy and Decarbonisation. With over 25 years’ experience in building services engineering, Rob joins from Tesco where he was Group Renewable Energy Manager, leading the on-site renewable strategy across the UK, Ireland and Central Europe. Bringing extensive client-side experience in renewable energy project delivery, Rob adds valuable knowledge of working across multi-national property portfolios.
Appointed as Sustainability lead for Avison Young, Nadine Lawless has also joined the firm as Associate Director. Prior to joining, Nadine was Sustainability Key Client Lead at CBRE where she was accountable for developing and implementing the ESG strategy for CBRE UK Property Management. Bringing valuable expertise, Nadine works closely with clients to meet ambitious sustainability targets through data-driven insights and industry-leading strategic recommendations.
Together, the appointments mark the launch of Decarb, Avison Young’s specialist and dedicated decarbonisation service. Designed to deliver decarbonisation solutions including feasibility, project delivery, funding advice and facilities management, Decarb enhances the firm’s capabilities to deliver dedicated technical expertise and professional services to decarbonise real estate assets.
Strengthening Decarb, Rob and Nadine will join Holly Evans, Associate Director in Utilities. Holly has extensive experience in energy markets, energy procurement and utilities budget management. Together, Rob and Holly will work closely to develop compelling solutions to reduce energy consumption and provide energy procurement and renewables strategy expertise.
Chris Wright, Director and Head of Sustainability & Decarbonisation at Avison Young, said: “Appointing both Rob and Nadine will significantly strengthen our Sustainability & Decarbonisation team, driving forward our Decarb service line.
