Avison Young negotiates 21,392 sf office lease on behalf of Goree Architects, Inc. at Sage Plaza in Houston, TX 5 avril 2023

Houston, TX – Avison Young announced today it has negotiated a long-term, 21,392 square-foot (sf) office lease expansion on behalf of Goree Architects, Inc. for use as a component of its corporate headquarters within Sage Plaza located at 5151 San Felipe in the Galleria submarket of Houston, TX. As a result of this expansion, the tenant will double its space within the building, occupying floors 16 and 17 in their entirety.

Avison Young Principal Anthony Squillante and Senior Associate Collin Roach, who are out of the firm’s Houston office, represented the tenant. The landlord, BlackRock, was represented by Jessica Ochoa of CBRE.

“When we originally helped Goree Architects lease the 17th floor of Sage Plaza in 2020, the company moved from Bellaire to the Galleria so that it could upgrade facilities in an effort to attract and retain top area talent,” said Roach. “Since that time, the firm has grown substantially across all of its service lines, and we were able to negotiate an expansion just one floor down to accommodate this growth.”

Squillante added, “In my opinion, this Galleria area Class A office expansion represents another example of tier-one space being absorbed at a much higher velocity than lesser quality assets.”

Sage Plaza is a LEED Silver Certified 25-story building totaling 530,977 sf and was renovated in 2019. The property provides a hotel-style lobby, coffee bar, fitness center, 85-person auditorium, and outdoor lounge area, among other amenities.
