Ted Schwartz, SIOR, joined Avison Young as a Senior Vice President, bringing more than three decades of experience in office and healthcare tenant representation throughout the metro Atlanta market. A trusted advisor and strategic partner, Ted has built a reputation for delivering thoughtful, results-driven solutions to corporate clients navigating complex real estate decisions.
Over the course of his career, Ted has successfully completed more than 550 commercial real estate transactions nationwide, spanning office, industrial, medical, retail, and land sectors. His deep market knowledge and commitment to excellence have earned him the prestigious SIOR designation for the past 10 years, and he currently serves on the Georgia SIOR Board of Directors. He is also a Silver Phoenix member of the Atlanta Commercial Board of Realtors Million Dollar Club, recognizing over 25 years of sustained high performance.
Prior to joining Avison Young, Ted was a Senior Partner at Carter Hill Advisors, a boutique minority-owned commercial real estate firm based in Atlanta. Under his leadership, the firm achieved over $1 million in revenue in its second year and continued to grow, completing transactions across office, medical, and industrial sectors. His recent work included a complex ground lease disposition in Tempe, Arizona, and a multi-ownership office disposition in Lansing, Michigan.
Ted’s strategic approach to corporate real estate is exemplified by his work with Cognia Inc., where he led the ground up development of a 100,000-square-foot, two-building office campus and is currently managing the disposition of one of the buildings to a third-party user.
Beyond his professional achievements, Ted is a dedicated community leader. He has been President of North Fulton Community Charities, a multimillion-dollar nonprofit organization with over 45 employees. His civic involvement includes past leadership roles with the Alpharetta Chamber of Commerce and Alpharetta Rotary Club, and he currently sits on the SIOR Georgia chapter board of Breakthrough T1D, a leading organization focused on curing and treating type 1 diabetes. Ted is also a proud member of the Leadership Atlanta Class of 2020.
