Steven Paulus is a Principal of Winnipeg’s Avison Young Team, with over 17 years of commercial real estate sales and leasing experience. As a proud lifelong Winnipegger, Steven provides his clients with a unique and powerful insight into Manitoba’s commercial real estate market. He works closely with Jamie McPetrie and Paul Douglas operating and growing Avison Young Manitoba, with a focus on the strategic oversight and operational execution of the company.

Steven is one of the few commercial agents in Manitoba with a professional accounting designation and his clients value his unique strategic sales and finance background. Steven’s straight forward client first advice, creative problem solving and big picture perspective has helped to complete a wide range of complex, significant sales and leasing transactions in the Manitoba marketplace, leading him to be a consistent top producer.

Steven stays active outside of work with his two young children and enjoys playing guitar and long walks. He frequently travelled internationally before kids and this world perspective provides a fresh outlook and understanding to each project. He values giving back to his community and previously served six years on the Downtown Business Improvement Zone Executive Board, chairing numerous committees including the Nominating Committee. He served a three-year term on the Winnipeg Real Estate Commercial Division Executive Board.

  • Qualified as a Certified General Accountant in 2012 and received his designation as a Chartered Professional Accountant in 2015 (CPA, CGA). 
  • Received his REALTOR® Designation in 2008.
  • Started at Avison Young Manitoba in 2007. 
  • Spent over 2 years after university as an articling student / auditor / accountant
  • Graduated from the University of Manitoba in  2004 with a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) double major in Finance & Accounting.
