Infrastructure Management

A Chartered Construction Manager with over 30 years’ experience in the delivery and performance management of large construction projects with demanding output specifications, budgets and programmes. His 15 years’ plus experience with Avison Young includes both social and transport infrastructure PPP projects from tender bids, through project delivery and transition, and in to steady state operations.

Key deliverables from Nick and his infrastructure team include managing the FM Providers and Operators performance across the diverse UK portfolio of projects on behalf of investors to ensure they meet their availability requirements and are fully compliant in all matters.

Nick has also used his considerable experience to advise Local Authorities not only relating to PFI but also wider real estate technical matters such as the implementation of recommendations following the Grenfell fire and the Hackitt Report across the LA estate.

Nick has recently been instrumental leading stakeholders on a number of Stoke and Staffordshire Fire stations which have been remodelled to successfully deliver both fire and police services, whilst providing a considerable revenue saving.

Nick joined Avison Young in 2005 and has been responsible for leading the development on a number of projects on behalf of investors, leading multi disciplined teams through complex feasibility, planning and all RIBA stages, including schools in Kent, Belfast, blue light facilities in Staffordshire, police facilities in Avon & Somerset and a mental health hospital in Liverpool. As a Director of the business Nick has developed and supported the current team to ensure that client needs are exceeded and is proud of the team’s record of repeat business.
