Mike George is a partner in Avison Young's Hospitality Real Estate group, working with clients nationally across a variety of asset classes including hospitality, hotel-to-multifamily conversions, multifamily, student housing, land, mergers & acquisitions and capital markets. He has extensive experience in sourcing debt, equity and selling performing and non-performing debt for lenders in addition to providing acquisition, disposition and valuation services for hotel owners, performing & non-performing hotel notes, development sites and hotel conversions.

Mike joined Avison Young in 2017 through the acquisition of the Hotel Assets Group, LLC where he was a senior partner.  

Since 2020, he has shifted his focus to off-market, private listings to help ease the employee retention concerns of his clients along with their desire to move through a more expedited process.

Mike was born and raised in the suburbs of Syracuse, New York and pursued his academic journey through Alfred University, the University of Hawaii, culminating with a degree in Economics from The University at Buffalo. 

As a senior and experienced professional at Avison Young, Mike continues to elevate standards within the industry through his unwavering commitment to his clients, approaching his business with the highest integrity and strong work ethic.
