Professional Profile

In her current role as Director of Marketing for the Washington, DC region, Katie is responsible for local marketing programs, brand management and implementing corporate directed initiatives. She provides overall project management support for the region’s brokerage teams, including creating and writing promotional materials, conducting and compiling market research reports and proposals, and assisting with business development and client outreach. Katie works directly with the region's graphic designers on building, maintaining and evolving brand assets and templates for team-based marketing coordinators, research and operations staff. In addition to her duties within the region, Katie also supports and collaborates on many national and international marketing and branding endeavors. She works directly with Avison Young's Corporate Marketing and Operations Executives on both internal and external marketing campaigns, presentations, event planning, collateral development, vendor account management, acquisition on-boarding assistance, general brand management and graphic design services.

Versatility, creativity and aptitude drive Katie’s ability to design effective marketing strategies for Avison Young’s diverse client base. She thrives on challenges, particularly those that expand her knowledge or experience.

Katie joined Avison Young in April 2010, shortly after the firm began its aggressive U.S. expansion program. Prior to that, she was a Marketing Assistant at Grubb & Ellis Company, where she provided support to transaction services in the areas of marketing, research and business operations for the Washington, DC metro area offices.
