Bill Shiver brings over 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry to Avison Young. His most recent commercial real estate experience was at Ten-X as a member of the inside CRE Broker Services Group. While at Ten-X, he worked with their institutional clients, primarily CW Capital, along with Blackstone, and LNR.
On an assignment basis, his role at Ten-X involved all aspects of the transaction process, from property evaluation, negotiating BOVs, compiling offering memorandums, conducting all prospect marketing efforts, scheduling/hosting property tours, managing weekly client calls, prospect registration for the auctions, all with the ultimate goal of getting valid offers submitted at or above the set reserve on auction day. During his tenure, he led the successful transactions for over $125 million in assets, mostly hotels, along with retail and office properties.
Bill’s hospitality brokerage career began in 2004 when he joined Hodges Ward Elliott to focus on their new golf industry practice. By the time he left the firm, his successful track record also included resorts, hotels, and restaurants.
Bill graduated from the University of Georgia with a B.B.A. in Finance.
Bill is married and lives with his wife in northern Atlanta. When not working on hotel transactions, Bill enjoys golf, tennis, sailing, flying, travel and time with friends and family.
