In June of 2017 David Jewkes joined the Las Vegas office of Avison Young as Managing Director – Brokerage Operations. He brings more than 25 years of commercial real estate management and transaction experience to Avison Young, most recently as Senior Vice-President, Nevada with Cushman & Wakefield.

During his career, Jewkes has served clients in Nevada, California, Utah and Arizona. In addition to managing operations, he has developed specific expertise in business development and investor service.

Jewkes rejoined Cushman & Wakefield after serving for two years as president of Integris Capital Group, and three years as executive director of Commerce TNP. He initially joined Cushman & Wakefield | Commerce in late 2007 through the acquisition of Burnham Real Estate, where he held senior executive positions in Las Vegas and San Diego. During his tenure with Burnham, he launched the firm’s asset recovery services practice and became qualified to work as a receiver. Since 2009, he has acted as a court-appointed receiver in cases covering more than 120 assets in 15 jurisdictions in Nevada, California, Utah and Arizona. Also at Burnham, he expanded the company’s Las Vegas operations through the acquisitions of two prominent Las Vegas companies.

Prior to joining Burnham, Jewkes spent 11 years at Wallace Associates in Salt Lake City, rising to president and CEO from an associate position. He was responsible for converting the company into the Grubb & Ellis affiliate for Salt Lake City. He also spent two years in a senior position with the Salt Lake Olympic Organizing Committee.

Jewkes is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), NAIOP, the Urban Land Institute (ULI), BOMA, the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), and the International Real Estate Institute (IREI.) He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in marketing and undertook graduate studies in the MBA Program at Brigham Young University.
