David Genovese has a career that spans 30 years in the commercial real estate industry. For decades, David was the driving force behind GPE Commercial Advisors and GPE Management Services, privately held firms that provided sales, leasing and property management services to third-party clients. In March 2016 both GPE entities were acquired by Avison Young - Arizona. Currently David serves as Managing Director, Designated Broker and Principal of Avison Young - Arizona. Throughout his career, he has directed over $3.0 billion of real estate sales and leasing transactions and is involved in over 10 million square feet of commercial office space in metro Phoenix and throughout Arizona.

David’s in-depth knowledge and experience span all aspects of commercial real estate management and brokerage. He has extensive experience in property and facility operations, tenant and capital improvements, transaction negotiations, sales and marketing strategies, business planning as well as direction and supervision of staff, vendors and consultants. He has also gained comprehensive knowledge of commercial real estate investments, development, accounting, funding, negotiations, and property management functions becoming a leading expert and mentor to brokers and staff. He often provides his services not only as a consultant but also as an expert witness. He provides the leadership, innovative solutions, skills, and knowledge required to make any commercial real estate venture a success.

He serves the industry as a member of Lambda Alpha International, a global land economics society where top professionals connect; NAIOP and Valley Partnership. In his community, he supports the Scottsdale Sister Cities program and the Boys and Girls Club of Metro Phoenix, and has served as a board member for other non-profits and charities. He is a fitness enthusiast who is an avid cyclist and enjoys Pilates, yoga and boating in San Diego.
