Assistant Superintendent/Field Manager

The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for managing a portion of the construction process and assuming leadership responsibilities on projects.

The Assistant Superintendent will also support the Superintendent in all aspects of the project at the discretion of the Superintendent

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain contracts, documents, and drawings

  • Support Superintendent in monitoring job progress on site

  • Ensure compliance with contract documents and safety protocols

  • Develop and execute on project plans and schedules

  • Assist with logistical coordination

  • Plan and prepare documents to facilitate closeout process

  • Monitor production and record rates in logbooks

  • Manage production documents on a daily basis to maintain accurate record of “work in place”

  • Check and verify subcontractor layout to ensure compliance with established control, line, and grade

  • Report any and all field condition issues to the Superintendent

  • Work with Superintendent to develop and carry out the plan and schedule for project work

  • Maintain and review safety requirements for the project and resolve or report deficiencies to the Superintendent and Safety Manager

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Project

  • Good communication skills

  • Attention to detail

Experience Required

  • College degree a plus

  • Degree in design or construction is a plus

  • Industry experience required
