Pioneer Underwriters has successfully relocated into a stunning, landmark commissioned building situated on Wall Street in the heart of the New York financial district.
Working with Pioneer designer Paul Mullins and his team, introduced by NHQ Office Design, our long-standing expertise and knowledge of local building codes and standards, has helped this London, UK based insurance company establish the base for their long-term expansion into the United States. We have proudly collaborated with Paul to create a design that celebrates their explorative nature mixed with their rich London heritage.
Paul has stated about Pioneer’s space in London:
Referencing the original Edward Lloyd’s coffee house of the 1600’s where the famous insurance market began. Our design with its long, elegant bar serving coffee and fresh pastries in a relaxed cafe environment of 1950’s sofas, Persian rugs and reclaimed vintage creates a striking, contemporary setting for this new, progressive underwriting business.

The display of a variety of vintage objects not only serves as a spark for conversation related to Pioneering and their history but allows their environment to act as an eclectic canvas for daily collaboration and inspiration. With a modern café as a landmark of their London location, we have highlighted this experience to be a social welcoming as you enter their space.
The design includes an open area with book shelving, an exposed ceiling with modern lighting and elements, and a refreshed interior with new carpet and a fresh coat of paint throughout.
