A Charleston native and industrial real estate expert, Ryan Young intimately understands the Lowcountry of South Carolina. Possessing a deep market knowledge, Ryan uses his innate drive and resourcefulness to create appreciable value and cost savings for his clients, focusing on industrial development, investment sales and lease transactions for industrial property.

Ryan and his team originate, implement, and execute customized commercial real estate strategies for each account, leaning on their collective extensive and diverse experience in industrial brokerage. Whether working for corporate occupiers or institutional investors, Ryan takes pride in providing passionate and creative consultation, streamlining the real estate transaction process.

Since joining Avison Young, Ryan and his team have sourced numerous large tracts of land for industrial development projects while also assisting clients, such as LRC Properties in the leasing of its 1-million-square-foot industrial campus at World Trade Center Charleston. In addition, his team served Five Rivers Development in the disposition of its multiple-building portfolio across South Carolina, as well as Magnus Development Partners in the leasing of its multiple-phase speculative development in Beaufort Commerce Park.

In 2023, Ryan received recognition from Avison Young as one of the company’s national Top Emerging Leaders, and he has earned the same reputation in the local commercial real estate industry.

Prior to joining Avison Young, Ryan was an NCAA Division I college tennis coach at Clemson University, with previous coaching stops at Michigan State University and the University of South Carolina, where he specialized in recruiting and developing student-athletes on and off the tennis court. He also was an NCAA Division I tennis player at Clemson University. After college, Ryan competed on the ATP Tour for five years as a professional tennis player, which took him around the world, ranking as high as top-30 in the United States. Ryan and his wife, Ashley, live on James Island with their two children and love being a part of the Charleston community.
