Mahnaz Ali is the Operations Manager for the Long Island office of Avison Young, where she joined as an Executive Assistant in 2014.   She has been instrumental in overseeing the on-going expansion of the Long Island office and in supporting its business development initiatives that include research and marketing, client canvasing, client relations, and transactional support.

Having acquired an extensive understanding of the real estate market during her tenure, Ali’s role has expanded to include account management of new and existing clients in both landlord and tenant representation assignments.  She works directly with the Long Island Office’s Principal and Managing Director, Ted Stratigos, and is a valued point of contact during client negotiations. Notable clients with whom Ali has worked include Winthrop University Hospital, 1800Flowers, and New York Life. During her tenure, she has also acquired invaluable experience with a diverse real estate portfolio ranging from traditional office and industrial spaces to atypical properties like marinas and development sites in Chula Vista, TX.

Ali’s natural strengths include competitiveness, focus and future thinking, making her an exceptional professional who both pursues and achieves measurable results.  These skills allow her to forecast opportunities and challenges, therefore reducing the transaction and/or project cycle time.

Prior to joining Avison Young, Ali worked as a manager at MTC Industries, a leading pharmaceutical company on Long Island, prior to which she was director of marketing and client relations for leading international textiles company, HnM Sourcing. In this capacity, she worked on client procurement and satisfaction for big box retail stores like JCPenny, Sears, Kmart, Walmart, and brand names like Reebok and U.S. Polo Association. Ali has also worked as a producer and researcher for Dawn News, a leading Asian news channel before deciding to transition to corporate America.

In addition to holding a NYS real estate license, Ali has a degree in Liberal Arts with a minor in Economics and Accounting.
