Matt is a Principal with Avison Young Consulting Services. Matt focuses his consulting practice in the area of location strategy and economic development incentives analysis, negotiation, and administration, helping clients determine the optimal locations for their operations in parallel with securing tax and financial credits and incentives for those operations.

Over the course of his career, Matt successfully completed location strategy and economic development incentives projects throughout North America, Europe, Asia and Central and South America. These projects include manufacturing and distribution facilities, call centers, R&D operations, and headquarters. He has served clients in multiple industry sectors, including private equity, technology, energy, manufacturing, BPO, financial services, health care and pharmaceutical.

Prior to joining Avison Young, Matt was one of the founders of Honour, a consulting firm that he and his partners sold to Avison Young in 2020. Prior to that, he was Senior Managing Director of Newmark’s Corporate Advisory Services Team in New York. In this role, Matt was a leader in Newmark’s global location strategy and economic development incentives practice.
