Ben Burns specializes in office leasing in Avison Young’s Nashville office where he serves both landlord and tenant clients. Additionally, Ben represents clients in either selling or purchasing investment properties. Prior to joining Avison Young, Ben was with Cushman & Wakefield | Cornerstone ‘s Healthcare Practice Group with special emphasis on healthcare-related properties and clients. He has earned his Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation.

Before entering commercial real estate, Ben practiced law in Nashville for more than 20 years, 11 of which, he served as Senior Litigation Counsel for HCA Inc.  Since 1990, Ben has personally invested in a number of real estate transactions including office, retail, industrial, land and investment properties. In each of these investments, Ben was actively involved in the due diligence, closing, management and leasing of these properties. The experience gained from his hands-on dealings in real estate, coupled with his broad based experience in law, uniquely qualifies Ben to be of service to his clients in leasing and selling office space and investment properties.
