Roy has over 33 years experience in commercial real estate and in 1979 was a founding partner of the company. He established the retail division of Avison Young’s Alberta operation and continues to focus his efforts in all aspects of retail leasing, site selection and sales.
A longtime member of the International Council of Shopping Centers, he is Avison Young's designated "official member" and on a regular basis attends the annual ICSC Conferences in Toronto, Whistler and Las Vegas.
Having completed in excess of 1,500 transactions, Roy’s experience is truly diverse. He was instrumental in the creation of South Edmonton Common, Canada’s largest power centre.
A lengthy list of prominent retailers, such as the Home Depot, have engaged Roy to act on their behalf with their site selection process.
