Matthew C. K. Steele

Prior to working for Avison Young, Matthew gained invaluable experience while owning and operating a construction and development business for 10 years.  At 17 years of age he started and operated a construction company which specialized in both renovation of heirloom properties and new home development.  His enthusiasm for ‘getting the sale’ naturally steered him towards consulting on, and selling real estate development projects.  To date Matthew has sold over 31 million dollars in mixed use residential development. 

For the last 4 years Matthew has been focusing on office leasing under the direction of two of the top producing principals at Avison Young.  As a result he has participated in a variety of deals from coast to coast.  Most recently Matthew implemented a national lease administration database for over 1,000,000 square feet of office space spread across every major Canadian centre. 

Matthew’s specialty is in pursuing new opportunities for Avison Young, and his politely relentless style has allowed him to participate in the acquisition and disposition of land and buildings as well as successfully engaging new clients and creating new opportunities for Avison Young.
