Josh LaRocca

Josh brings nearly fifteen years of experience in the commercial real estate industry to his Principal position at Avison Young.  While his primary focus is the representation of office and industrial corporate firms, Josh also specializes in assisting his corporate clients with acquisition and disposition services, as well as strategic planning and project management.

Josh began his real estate career in 1996 with InSite Realty Partners, a Houston-based full service firm.  After spending the first seven years of his career at InSite, he co-founded Blackstone Partners, a Houston-based boutique tenant representation brokerage firm.  Most recently prior to joining Avison Young, Josh served as Managing Director with Studley, Inc. and Managing Partner at Mohr Partners.

During his career, Josh has represented corporate firms in countless transactions locally in Houston, as well as throughout Texas, a majority of the continental United States and into Canada.  His ability to evaluate and identify his clients’ needs and deliver quantifiable results makes him a strong asset to Avison Young’s ever-expanding reach.

Prior to beginning his full-time real estate career, Josh participated in the NFL-Europe professional football league, as well as brief stints with the NFL’s Denver Broncos and Dallas Cowboys.  During his tenure at Rice University, Josh was the starting quarterback and team captain, as well as Academic All-Southwest Conference in both his junior and senior years.  Additionally, during his junior year, he led the football team to the Southwest Conference championship.

Josh has been married for 15 years to his wife, Jennifer.  They have one child (Owen, age 8) and are active participants in the Sugar Land (suburb of Houston) community.  Josh also maintains a lifetime membership in Rice University’s prestigious “R” Association.
