Overview:
Avison Young is the world’s fastest-growing commercial real estate services firm, with 78 offices in five countries providing sales, leasing, and management services to owners and occupiers of office, retail, industrial and multi-family properties around the world.  We’re seeking a digital marketing specialist to join our growing global marketing team. This newly-created position will oversee our website content, digital marketing channels, SEO initiatives and metrics, in collaboration with our global, national and local marketing and IT teams.
 
Job Functions:
  • Manage Avison Young’s global website and content platform in conjunction with the global CMO and VP IT to ensure a compelling and engaging user experience
  • Oversee website content management system, and train and support field web administrators and business unit contacts
  • Plan and execute SEO strategies to ensure optimization and implementation of best practices
  • Design and execute interactive initiatives, including landing pages, email marketing initiatives, online advertising, content strategies and video, working with vendors and internal teams as needed
  • Monitor web metrics, drawing conclusions and making recommendations
  • Manage enterprise email marketing automation platform
  • Serve as internal subject matter expert for digital channels, providing and developing information/content for stakeholders and marketers across the organization
  • Work with marketing and PR teams to enhance social media presence, implementation and tools
  • Identify and manage vendors and strategic partners as needed for digital projects and metrics
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3-5  years digital managing and directing Internet content and campaigns, sites, social media, mobile, lead generation and/or marketing programs, preferably in professional services or B2B
  • Understanding of interactive best practices, including visual design, front-end development, usability, information architecture, technology standards and content administration
  • Technical knowledge of content management systems and HTML
  • Understanding of SEO/SEM best practices and strategy
  • Understanding of email marketing, blog and content management best practices
  • Strong organizational, analytical and verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of HTML and other web languages as they affect response designs
  • Familiarity with application development process
  • Knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Google Analytics, Webmaster tools, etc.) and reporting
  • Skilled in Photoshop and Illustrator for optimizing images for use on the web
  • Experience in setting up and optimizing Google AdWords campaigns
  • Ability to flourish in collaborative, fast-paced environment
  • BA/BS degree in marketing or relevant field
