Jamie McPetrie joined the talented group of real estate professionals Avison Young in May of 2000.  Initially focused on industrial leasing and investment sales, after joining Avison Young Jamie broadened his scope of expertise to include all facets of commercial real estate including office leasing, retail leasing, property development, and tenant representation.

Jamie’s varied knowledge base and generalist approach over the years has enabled him to act on behalf of some of Canada’s largest institutional landlords while still servicing the needs of his local landlords and tenants. 

Some noteworthy transactions Jamie has completed include the sale of 130 Omands Creek (113,000 sf Industrial), 111 Lombard (111,000 sf Office), 259 Portage (91,000 sf Office), 1600 Regent (56,000 sf Retail) and the leasing for Sterling Industrial (34,000 sf Industrial), New Directions (collection of deals totaling 65,000 sf Office), Home Depot Supply (25,000 sf Retail), Goodlife Fitness (22,000 sf Retail).

Before joining Avison Young, Jamie worked at Sun-X Properties where he assisted in the design and project management of several new-generation industrial buildings.  At a time when few developers were building in Winnipeg Jamie had the unique opportunity to learn the business literally from the ground up.
