James Kornick

James Kornick joined the Washington, DC office of Avison Young as a Principal in November 2011. James has more than 25 years of real estate industry experience as a broker, developer and investor. As Managing Director at NorthMarq, he focused on providing investment services for office and medical-office properties. Prior to joining NorthMarq, James was an investment broker in the Mid-Atlantic region with two different national real estate service companies, establishing himself as a leader in the sale of investment real estate. He won numerous sales awards, including Top 20 Salesman in the nation. His exceptional understanding of local land use regulatory processes was derived from his tenure as Executive Director of a Fairfax County, VA economic development corporation and five years as assistant to a member of the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors and the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority.
