Hiren joined Avison Young in 2008 as a Principal & Senior Vice President of Corporate Strategy where he is responsible for the company’s growth and expansion including M&A, recruiting program, integration, capital structure and long range planning.  Over the past 5 years Avison Young has grown over 10X in professionals, offices, revenue and profit.  Hiren also sits on the firm’s Executive Committee.

Hiren’s experience includes Strategy and Operations at public and private corporations, serving on Executive Committees, advising and reporting to Boards of Directors, CEOs, and CFOs. Hiren has written and executed strategies for firms ranging from $100 million service firms to $30 billion product firms. He has directly executed over $1 billion in capital market transactions including IPOs, private sales, mergers, spin-offs, capital raises, refinancing, and debt restructuring. He has led teams in over 30 acquisitions from identification, through negotiation, diligence, documentation, and transition planning. In addition, Hiren's responsibilities include recruiting over 300 key professional services teams responsible for $400 million in revenue and launching international operations.  Prior to joining Avison Young, Hiren led corporate strategy at Grubb & Ellis (NYSE: GBE).  Hiren also previously worked in Management Consulting at Huron Consulting Group and Strategic Decisions Group as well as a Product Engineer at Kraft Foods. He holds a Master’s in Business Administration from Kellogg School of Management (Northwestern University), a Master’s in Engineering Management from McCormick School of Engineering (Northwestern University) and a Bachelors in Chemical Engineering from the University of Illinois.  Hiren was named Real Estate Forum’s (Globe Street) 40 under 40.  He also received Avison Young’s Chairman’s Award and Kraft’s Superior Achievement Award.
