Peter Schwann is a Principal with Avison Young’s Office Leasing and Sales Team and is an original team member in its creation over 10 years ago. Since that time, the Team continues to prove themselves as a respected, reliable, and market leading service provider.
Peter has gained considerable experience in the implementation of marketing programs and successfully leasing office space on behalf of pension funds, REITS, and private sector clients. Landlord client’s include Harvard Developments, Cameron Developments, First Capital Realty, Sun Life, Edmonton International Airports, and Beaverbrook/InHouse. Peter takes pride in his strong communication skills, accountability, and thoughtful approach to meeting project objectives on listing assignments.
Peter also has a wealth of experience on tenant representation projects for local, national, and multinational organizations, providing strategic consulting and transactional expertise in their office sale / lease transactions, both renewals and acquisition of new premises. Peter has acted on behalf of numerous real estate users, including but not limited to Stuart Olson, Covenant Health, SCM Group of Companies, Medical Imaging Consultants, ISL Engineering, HealthPointe and Servus Credit Union. Organizations such as these are repeat clients for Peter, representing them numerous times over his career, a testament to his integrity, ability to generate trusting relationships and ability to deliver client driven results.
Peter acts as the Canadian leader for Avison Young's Healthcare Affinity Group as well as the Edmonton Ambassador for Enterprise Solutions.
Proud to be born and raised in Edmonton, Peter is an ongoing supporter of many local community initiatives and charities. He attended the University of Alberta, School of Business and obtained his Bachelor of Commerce with a major in finance.
