Joshua helps shopping center owners increase the value of their portfolio through either buying new centers or selling or redeveloping their existing centers because of his years of experience on the owner's side. He has been involved in the disposition and acquisition of over a quarter of a billion dollars in shopping centers across the state of Florida. His experience includes working at a highly entrepreneurial, private real estate owner and operator focused exclusively on Florida retail, and, at a large, publicly-traded Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) with a market capitalization of over $4.0 billion.
Joshua held a position as Asset Manager at Equity One, Inc. and was responsible for maximizing the performance and value of a $1 billion shopping center portfolio throughout South Florida. He also successfully managed the disposition of three centers totaling $27.4 million. Joshua’s experience also includes a position as Vice President of Acquisitions at Woolbright Development where he was involved in the sourcing, analysis, underwriting and acquisition of almost $200 million of shopping centers with various institutional investors (Prudential, DRA Advisors, Stockbridge and Principal).
Having spent the last five years buying, selling and managing shopping centers in South Florida, Joshua understands what is important to the groups on both sides of the table. Joshua adds significant value to his clients' transactions due to his unique experience working on the landlord side of the business, his knowledge of the South Florida retail market and his deal-making, problem-solving and analytical skills.
