Jeff commenced his career in commercial real estate in 1994 and specializes in account and transaction management for large corporations. Jeff’s strengths include portfolio and strategic planning, negotiation, financial analysis and site selection/disposition work. He is also a practice leader of the company’s logistics, sustainability and corporate services group. He has a wide range of transaction activity in industrial, office leasing, design build, sale leasebacks, land assembly and commercial re-developments.
Jeff’s experience also includes strategic planning, analysis, negotiation and implementation of real estate disposition and consolidation projects for various industry sectors. He has a proven track record with companies in the healthcare, consumer packaged goods, technology, financial services, government and supply chain and logistics space. Clients include: Baxter Healthcare, Becton Dickinson, Takeda, Valeant, General Mills, Maple Leaf Foods, Lindt & Sprungli, Nortel Networks, The Weather Network, Wells Fargo Financial, First Canadian Title, The Ontario Realty Corporation.
Prior to Avison Young, Jeff worked for a leading Canadian multi-national pharmaceutical company in sales and marketing. He is a Real Estate Broker, LEED Accredited Professional and holds an honours degree in Political Science from the University of Western Ontario.
Jeff is the Past President and Treasurer of the Central Canadian Chapter of SIOR (the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors). The SIOR professional designation is bestowed upon a small percentage of active commercial real estate brokers in Canada and the United States. Exceptional ethical standards, consistently high transaction volumes and recognized experience levels are prerequisites for admission to this professional organization.
In 2009 Jeff received Broker of the year award from the SIOR Central Canadian Chapter and in 2012 and 2005 office development and office lease deal of the year respectively from the Toronto NAIOP Chapter. Jeff has recently received 2012 GTA NAIOP Office Development of the year 1919 for Minnesota Court, 125,000 sf and 2013 GTA NAIOP Office Development of the year for 7100 West Credit Avenue 96,000 sf.
Jeff also is a LEED AP (LEED Accredited Professional) - "LEED Professional Credentials demonstrate current knowledge of green building technologies, best practices, and the rapidly evolving LEED Rating Systems. They show differentiation in a growing and competitive industry, and they allow for varied levels of specialization. A LEED Professional Credential provides employers, policymakers, and other stakeholders with assurances of an individual’s level of competence and is the mark of the most qualified, educated, and influential green building professionals in the marketplace."
Jeff is also a current member of the Principal Gifts Committee for the New Oakville Hospital Foundation.
