Alex Picciano joined the Tysons Corner office of Avison Young in January 2016 as an Associate, where he focuses on tenant representation and business development. Alex helps navigate real estate challenges by matching clients with the right opportunities for their business objectives. Whether advising entrepreneurs during their first lease negotiation, or consulting corporations on how to generate revenue from excess office space, Alex brings the full-service expertise that businesses rely on for tenant advisory and real estate brokerage throughout Northern Virginia, Washington, D.C.  and Suburban Maryland.

Before joining Avison Young, Alex spent three years in the leasing department at Vornado/Charles E. Smith, a NYSE-listed company with 18-million sf under ownership in the Washington, DC region – including several of the area’s most marquee properties. At Vornado, Alex gained significant exposure to GSA practices and the Northern Virginia market. Cultivating his skills at one of the preeminent firms in the industry earned him a rare understanding of how real estate deals get done, knowledge he now uses to advocate client interests and bridge the gap between commercial tenants and landlords.


Alex is a graduate of George Mason University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in 2010.
