Professional Experience
Douglas has been working in the commercial real estate industry for more than 30 years, starting as a broker in Calgary, Alberta in 1978. After 20 years as an industrial, office and investment specialist with a national brokerage firm, he was posted to Poland after accepting a position as Managing Director of the company’s Warsaw office. After three years in Warsaw, Douglas was then transferred to Guadalajara, Mexico where he spent the next six and a half years as Managing Director. In November 2007, Douglas returned to Canada with Avison Young and became a Principal in 2008.
