• B.A. (Honours) Urban Development, University of Western Ontario (1984)
  
• The Urban Development Program is an intensive yet balanced undergraduate education on the nature of urbanism, the processes affecting urban growth and development, and the methods and techniques used to analyze urban markets, land use and urbanization. Courses include Advanced Urban Development, Spatial Statistics, Economic Geography, Housing, Land Use and Development Planning, GIS, Real Estate Law, Land Use Law, Urban Politics, Finance, Management and Cost Accounting, Real Estate Feasibility Analysis and Urban Governance.

• Avison Young is a national Canadian real estate services firm with over 40 equity partners in ten (11) offices across the country.
  
• Mark is responsible for the overall strategic direction of the company. Avison Young acts exclusively on behalf of corporate real estate users and owners. With a multi-disciplinary real estate services platform including Transaction Services, Management Services, Corporate Services, Consulting & Advisory Services, Mortgage Financial Services and Research and Client Services, our professionals are able to serve all of our clients’ commercial real estate needs.
  
• Mark also continues to lead many of our large account teams, ensuring our clients receive all of the resources Avison Young has to offer.
  
• With over 22 years experience in all aspects of commercial real estate, Mark has been involved in over 1 billion dollars of real estate investment work and over 1 million square feet of leasing assignments.
  
• Prior to his current role, for 15 years Mark was one of Avison Young’s top professionals specializing in corporate real estate assignments nationally and internationally.
  
• Mark currently is responsible for Avison Young’s international relationship with Grubb & Ellis, coordinating all activities for Avison Young’s involvement with its partners around the globe.
