Major Transactions

With negotiations finalized early in 2007, Colin represented Dover Canada Corp.’s Alberta Oil Tool Division (A.O.T.) in a site selection and build-to-suit lease transaction on the City’s south side. A.O.T. had very specific facility requirements which evolved as a result of both business growth and a consolidation of several operations under one roof. A few of the demands the developer had to meet included: a specifically engineered column grid and ceiling height to accommodate the span and clear load height of craneways, supports outside the building with bi-parting doors as a provision for future craneway expansion; heavy power service, upgraded lighting and air make up, etc. With a total area of 124,000 square feet to be operational in the Spring of 2008, A.O.T.’s new facility will enable them to meet and exceed their customers’ expectations. Colin and the Avison Young team are proud to have assisted A.O.T. in reaching this goal.

A few of Colin’s other recent deal highlights include:

Leasing 66,000 square feet to CoLinx ULC (acted for Tenant)
Sale-leaseback of 44,000 square foot Barrett Marketing Building to Canadian Urban Equities (acted as dual agent)
